Rabbit Track Day Care

Hello!  My name is Emily Creighton-Pryer and I'm the owner/operator of Rabit Track Day Care.  Please allow me tell you a little bit about myself.

I have a B.A. in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University and have over 18 years experience working with children from infants to elementary school aged children.  I am a former Preschool Teacher with over 27 units of Early Childhood Education in college as well as 18 units of graduate work in Elementary Education.  I am a member of Connections:  A Child Care Provider Network and Early Childhood Professionals Network, and regularly attend monthly meetings.  Every year I complete at least 45 hours of training in early education, plus a CPR & First Aid course as well.  This is well above the Vermont State Regulations of 6 hours of training each year.

To help advocate for the profession of early education and the children and families I serve, I have been a member of Vermont Early Educators United-AFT since 2010.  As a member organizer and a political education committee member, I have the opportunity to bring the issues to the statehouse and advocate for positive change in early childhood education.

Vermont’s Child Development Division in the Step Ahead Recognition System for childcare, early education, and school age programs awarded 3 STARS to Rabbit Track Day Care on May 1, 2006.  R.T.D.C. renewed participation in the program in May 2007 and achieved 3 STARS for a second year!  By May 2008, the third year of participation, Rabbit Track Day Care moved up to 4 STARS and has remained a 4 STARS provider ever since.  By 2015, I hope to move up to 5 STARS.
